S*Madison's is a cattery located in Umea in the north of Sweden. We have eight cats, one male, three females, two neutered males and two neutered females. Each one of them are very special individuals. Animals are important in our lives and especially cats, dogs and horses.
We are living in a house with a lot of space for the children and the cats. Our cats are mainly indoors except for our neuter male. We have one catrun which is connected to our house and another bigger one in our garden where they love to spend their time in the summertime, but in the winter when it's cold and a lot of snow outside most of them are staying indoors.
I have always loved cats but it took me several years before we bought our first Norwegian Forestcat. In my childhood we had housecats and they became as much loved as the other familymembers. Everyone of the cats are living together with us and our two children. Our first child is a boy and he was born 1999 and our daughter was born 2001. We think that it's good for the children to have a lot of contact with animals in their early years because it is important for us that they will develop a huge respect for every living creature. I have finished my sociology studies at the university in february 2007 and now I finally got my exame in social-psychology. For the moment I am working on the IT-company Logica. My husband are at home with our animals during the days. The German Shepard Dex is also living with us.
When we first started our breeding we did get a lot of help and support from other breeders and today we are enjoying every relationsship in the cat world and it gives us the opportunity to meet and share experiences about breeding.
Each year we are visiting some catshows and in between we're planning to have some kittens. Our ideology is to breed healthy cats with good temper and the right look for an Norwegian Forestcat and it's important for us that every kitten will be loved as a familymember after he or she has left us.
Our last litter was born 2008 and we are not breeding anymore. |
